Quickened Bible Support

Quickened Bible reads the Bible aloud while the text moves with the voice, phrase by phrase, at speeds from a relaxed pace up to 4.6 times normal. It uses the World English Bible, a public domain translation, in two forms: the full text and a condensed text that keeps every idea in fewer words.

Common questions

Which translation is this?

The World English Bible (WEB), a modern English translation in the public domain. All 66 books are included.

What is the condensed text?

A shortened version of each book that keeps every claim and event but removes repetition and filler. The full text is always available, and you can switch between them at any time.

How do I change the speed?

Use the speed control on the reading screen. Narration is available at several base speeds, and each can be adjusted up or down.

How do I change the voice?

Open Settings in the app and choose Onyx (male) or Alloy (female). Each voice downloads once and is stored on your device.

Why is the app downloading audio?

Narration is downloaded from Apple when you first choose a voice, so the app stays small to install. Downloads require an internet connection. After that, reading and listening work offline.

Does the app collect my information?

No. See the privacy policy at lhotsemanagement.com/quickened-bible/privacy.
